Texas Concealed Handgun Instruction

What to Bring
· Handgun with 50 rounds of ammo, must be .32 cal or larger 

· Shooting glasses, eye protection

· Hearing Protection

· Clothing appropriate for shooting and weather conditions

 

   Loose fitting clothing or shoes that could allow hot brass to contact skin should be avoided.

 

· Lunch break will be for one hour.  You may bring your own lunch or leave and be back in time for the afternoon portion of class.

 

· Handguns should be unloaded in a case or holster with empty magazines unless you are renewing and are carrying the handgun.  All handgun manipulation and magazine loading will take place on the range.

 

Handgun Proficiency Portion

 

3 Yards:      Five shots fired in a “One Shot Exercise” two seconds allowed.

                   Ten shots fired in “Two Shot Exercise” three seconds allowed.

                   Five shots fired in ten seconds.

 

7 Yards:      Five shots fired in ten seconds.

                   Five shots fired in two stages, two shots fired in four seconds, three shots fired in six seconds.

                   Five shots fired in a “One Shot Exercise” three seconds allowed.

                   Five shots fired in fifteen seconds.

 

15 Yards:   Five shots fired in two stages, two shots fired in six seconds, three shots fired in nine seconds.

                  Five shots fired in fifteen seconds.
